BSCB Annual Conference The BSCB hold an annual conference each October, focusing on a specific element of safeguarding children. This years conference, entitled 'Child Sexual Abuse: Concerns and Responses', was attended by a wide mix of representatives from both statutory and voluntary organisations. Feedback following the event has been very positive and the outcomes from the conference will be updated in the near future. In 2007, the Conference, entitled 'Alcohol and Hidden Harm', focused on children whose parents are affected by alcohol and/ or drug abuse. The event highlighted the need for children and adult services to work together in safeguarding children. Work on the outcomes from this event is currently being undertaken by the BSCB. If you require additional information about the BSCB, please contact the team directly. Details can be found on the 'Contact Us' Page. |
