What's new on the BSCB website? ( last website update on 22.10.2008 )
New Inter-Agency Courses:
'Managing & Supervising Child Protection Practice' The BSCB is piloting a new course for managers and supervisors. The course will look at the whole arena of child protection practice and will enable delegates to reflect on, and work with, the challenges and implications within their roles. Please note, this course is not currently included in the 2008-09 training brochure.
This event is now fully subscribed, but please look out for course dates in the 2009/10 programme, as we hope to run this course again.
'Training for Trainers' A training for trainers event is due to be held on 26th & 27th November 2008. The event is open to all sectors and aims to equip participants to effectively run 'introduction to safeguarding children ( child protection )' training within their own agencies. As it is essential that participants have a good working knowledge of Safeguarding Children issues before they undertake the course, we will not be providing an application form. Instead, please contact Ann Lexton directly on 01296 382742 or on alexton@buckscc.gov.uk for further information. Following the training, participants will be observed and given advice about delivering competent safeguarding training within their own agency.
