2008 Annual Conference 'Child Sexual Abuse: Concerns and Responses'

This years BSCB conference was held on 14th October at Court Garden House in Marlow. Feedback following this event was very positive, with delegates confirming that it had raised awareness of the issues and emphasised the need for multi agency working in safeguarding children.

The drama company 'Active8' delivered a very powerful and thought provoking piece, which was filmed for future training purposes.

Outcomes from this conference and the resulting actions for the BSCB will be reviewed shortly.

Briefing Events

On 12th March 2008, the Policy and Procedures sub committee held a briefing event entitled 'New Beginnings in Child Protection - OUT with the Register and IN with the Plan'.
