BSCB Child Protection Policy Toolkit

The BSCB Single Agency Child Protection Policy Toolkit is designed to support agencies operating in Buckinghamshire (including those within the voluntary sector) to write or review their own Child Protection Policy.

The toolkit includes information on the key areas of safeguarding which should be considered by every agency, example statements and links to further information and resources.

For agencies updating their policies, it also includes a checklist for reviewing whether all relevant information has been included.

Child Protection Policy Toolkit for Schools

A Child Protection Framework Policy has been developed for use in schools, along with an appendix specifically referring to Female Genital Mutilation (FGM). Please also refer to the BSCB Child Protection Policy toolkit above.

Guidance for organisations that involve children in their performances

The Local Authority has developed the following guidance on developing child protection policies and procedures for organisations that involve children in their performances or in paid modelling. This includes, for example, dance and drama schools.
